Bordeaux, najpoznatije područje znano po velikim vinima - Paulliac. Klasificiran  u Bordeaux Wine Official Classification od 1855. Ova berba je prva od poznatog Xavier Boire-a, koji će izgleda dignuti ovaj podrum u razred najboljih Bordeaux-a.

Ovo vino odiše personalnošću - a količina tanina govori da se bolje strpiti s konzumacijom jer ima puno potencijala za daljnji napredak. Punog je tijela, vrlo elegantno, izrazito mineralno i slankasto, kompleksno, voćno uz jaku asocijaciju na čokoladu i lijepo uklopljeno drvo.

Decanter: Dense and rich, more meaty and more grip than its stable mate Haut-Batailley, lots of structure and length with a satiny, polished finish. 2014-30.

Parker:While not at the level of the phenomenal 2005, Grand-Puy-Lacoste has produced another classic wine with the creme de cassis fruit that I often find in both Mouton Rothschild and Pontet-Canet, yet both of those vineyards are closer to the Gironde River. This wine has a pure personality, with the aforementioned classic creme de cassis notes, medium to full body, beautiful density, purity, texture, and length. If anything, this recalls a hypothetical blend of their brilliant 1995 and 1996. Tannins are elevated, so patience will be required. This was Xavier Borie’s first vintage in his new state-of-the-art winemaking facility. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2027.
